Cordero (shoulder) began a rehab assignment Friday and allowed one run on one hit in two-thirds of an inning for the Gulf Coast League Phillies. He struck out two and walked two.
Cordero has been on the shelf all season with a shoulder injury. He will likely end up at Double-A Reading once his rehab is over.
