Miller is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
Before heading to the bench for Tuesday's 5-4 win, Miller had started four consecutive games and went 2-for-17 over that span. He's expected to fill a regular bench role for the Phillies now that Rhys Hoskins has seemingly moved past a groin injury.
