Buehler will be the Padres' starting pitcher for Game 4 of the NLDS versus the Brewers on Wednesday.
The only question had seemed to be whether Buehler would follow an opener or make a traditional start, and the Padres have opted for the latter. Buehler experienced an up-and-down 2026 season in San Diego but had a quality second half, logging a 3.62 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 50:22 K:BB over 64.2 innings. The veteran righty will be on a short leash in the elimination game for the Padres.
