The Padres optioned Reynolds to Triple-A El Paso on Monday.
Reynolds' latest stint in the majors lasted only a few days, and he struck out the side in his lone relief appearance in Friday's 8-1 loss to the Reds. He's being sent out to make room on the active roster for Matt Waldron, who was called up from El Paso to start Monday's game versus the Phillies.
