Giolito won't start Sunday's game against the Rangers but could work behind opener Wandy Peralta.
The Padres haven't made anything official regarding who will pitch after Peralta, but Giolito is a logical bet given that he followed an opener in his previous outing, with Sunday lining up as his turn through the rotation. The veteran right-hander hasn't exactly been reliable in six appearances for San Diego, as he has a 4.56 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 16:21 K:BB over 25.2 innings.
