The Padres selected Hawkins' contract from Double-A San Antonio on Tuesday.
Hawkins opened the 2025 campaign with High-A Fort Wayne and had a 1.43 ERA in 32 appearances before moving up to the Double-A level. The right-hander pitched similarly well with San Antonio and could make his way to Triple-A El Paso early in 2026.
