Janssen signed a minor league deal with an invite to spring training Saturday with the Padres.

Janssen had a season to forget in Washington during 2015. Shoulder issues impeded him out of the gate and he did not get much better from there, finishing with a 4.95 ERA in 40 innings while blowing all three of his save opportunities. He has a decent enough track record from before 2015 to think he makes the Padres' 25-man roster, so long as he is at 100 percent. If he gets there, he is definitely a candidate for some late inning duties.
