Adams and the Padres agreed to a one-year, $925,000 contract Tuesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
The relief pitcher will return for a third season with the Padres. In 2021, he appeared in 65 contests, compiling a 4.10 ERA and 1.20 WHIP while striking out 76 over 52.2 innings. Adams will once again be a late-inning option for the Padres after registering 10 holds last season.
