Machado (wrist) is out of the lineup for Friday's contest with the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Machado was held out of Thursday's game with the Nationals after being spiked on a slide by Andrew McCutchen at third base Wednesday night. The Orioles are taking precautions with their superstar, inserting Ruben Tejada at third base for the series opener against New York. It is still up in the air as to whether Machado will return for Saturday's game, and he should be considered day-to-day for now.
