Fabian was removed from Friday's game against Double-A Reading after rolling his left ankle, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Fabian's removal from Bowie's season opener was said to be precautionary. At the Double-A level last season, Fabian slashed .176/.314/.399 with 15 home runs and 12 steals over 288 plate appearances.
