Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said after Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Giants that Henderson (back) was removed as a precaution, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports. "He'll be fine," Hyde said of Henderson, who is considered day-to-day with lower-back discomfort.
While Hyde believes that Henderson will be OK, the manager also noted that the back discomfort has been a lingering issue in recent days. Henderson could end up taking a seat for Sunday's series finale, but the expectation is that he'll be ready to handle a near-everyday role during the Orioles' upcoming six-game week. Henderson struck out in his lone at-bat before departing Saturday's contest.
