Willems was promoted to Double-A Bowie on Sunday, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
Willems will take the next step in his professional career after producing a .238 average with 13 home runs, 51 RBI, 40 runs scored and a stolen base over 82 games with High-A Aberdeen this season. The catcher will attempt to take advantage of his promotion and impress at the Double-A level.
