Lombardozzi signed a minor league deal with the Nationals on Monday and will start at Triple-A Syracuse, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.
Lombardozzi will settle in at the Triple-A level to start, but could be able to secure a bench role for the Nationals during the season. The 27-year-old infielder has only played in 32 MLB games since the start of the 2014 season.
