Parker (7-10) took the loss Tuesday against the Mets, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out one.
Parker labored through this 78-pitch outing that included allowing four runs on three hits and two walks in the third. The New York lineup appeared to have the rookie southpaw's number all evening, as Parker generated a paltry four whiffs and has allowed five runs to the Mets in both his starts against them. Overall, he's now pitched to a 4.44 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 128:41 K:BB across 146 innings this season. The 24-year-old Parker is currently slated to make his next start against the Royals at home next week.
