The lefty-swinging Lile was an everyday player for the first three months of the season, but the Nationals have sat him out fairly often against lefties since then. With southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on the mound for the Phillies on Thursday, Lile will be absent from the lineup for the fifth time out of the last nine times the Nationals have gone up against a lefty.
