The Mets reassigned Rios to minor-league camp March 19, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
If he doesn't opt out of his minor-league deal, Rios will open the season at Triple-A Syracuse. The 30-year-old right-hander made three relief appearances at the big-league level for Oakland in 2023, giving up seven earned runs on three hits and six walks over 1.2 innings.
