Gsellman (5-5) gave up eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits and three walks over 4.1 innings against the Dodgers on Tuesday. Four of the hits he allowed were home runs.
Gsellman's now experienced consecutive seven-run catastrophes, and considering that he wasn't doing all that swimmingly even before these last two outings, it's getting hard to justify hanging onto him in most fantasy formats. Last season's 2.42 ERA is looking an awful lot like a flash in the pan, but with few alternatives in the pipeline, the Mets will have to stick with Gsellman for a while yet. He's lined up to make his next start Sunday in San Francisco.
