Montero (0-2) gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings Friday but was able to escape with a no-decision in an 8-7 win over the Marlins.
It was a predictably poor outing from Montero, who now has a 10.45 ERA through 10.1 big-league innings this season. Unfortunately for the Mets, they don't have any other healthy options for their rotation at the moment, so look for Montero to make his next start Wednesday at home against the Giants.
