Mets pitcher Vic Black was able to start throwing off flat ground Wednesday, reports NorthJersey.com.
Black has been sidelined since last week with a herniated disk in his neck and manager Terry Collins said the team will be cautious with the injury.
"When he does get back on the mound they'll slow that progression down so we don't have a recurrence of what he's gone through for the last month," Collins said. "It seems like every other time he threw that disc flared up on him."
