Alonso isn't starting Wednesday against the Nationals.
Alonso is riding a five-game hitting streak in which he's gone 6-for-15 with three runs and four walks. However, he'll get a breather for Wednesday's regular-season finale while James McCann takes over at first base and bats eighth.
