Torrens (forearm) went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in his first rehab game with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
Torrens also played seven innings at catcher in his first game action since he landed on the 10-day injured list in early September with a right forearm contusion. He could be activated when first eligible Wednesday, especially with Francisco Alvarez (triceps) now banged up.
