Mesoraco was removed from Thursday's game against the Giants due to neck stiffness, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Kevin Plawecki replaced Mesoraco in the top of the sixth inning. Mesoraco will head in for further evaluation following the conclusion of Thursday's game. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.
