Medina was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse in between games of Saturday's doubleheader, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
The Mets swapped out their Game 1 starter -- David Peterson -- for some extra bullpen depth in Medina ahead of the nightcap. Medina has split his season to date between Syracuse and Queens, posting identical 3.00 ERAs in 11 appearances at both stops.
