Mets' Abraham Almonte: Dropped from 40-man roster

Almonte was designated for assignment by the Mets on Sunday.

Almonte has now been booted off the Mets' 40-man roster for the second time in the last two weeks. He passed through waivers unclaimed last time around and is likely to once again head back to Triple-A Syracuse.
