The Diamondbacks released Kepler on Tuesday.
After having previously been removed from the 40-man roster, Kepler is now a free agent after clearing waivers and being cut loose by Arizona. The veteran outfielder has managed just a .565 OPS in 145 plate appearances and, with the minor-league season winding down, could wait until the winter to look for a new landing spot.
