Marlins' Trevor Rogers: Picks up win

Rogers (2-9) allowed two runs on six hits over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out one batter and earning a win over Milwaukee.

Rogers forced just five whiffs and tied his season low with one punchout but still secured his first win since May 15. He gave up a solo homer to Rhys Hoskins in the third inning and allowed another run in the fourth. Rogers did not complete six innings in any of his five July starts, but he still produced a solid 3.38 ERA through 24 innings. Rogers owns a 4.53 ERA with an 85:46 K:BB through 21 starts on the year. His next outing is currently lined up to come in Atlanta.
