Lopez was removed from Friday's game against the Athletics due to right ankle discomfort, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Lopez left the game in the second inning before making a plate appearance. It's currently unknown if he's dealing with any structural damage, but the Marlins should provide an update once they take a closer look at him.
