The Marlins outrighted Winkler to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday.
He's no longer on the 40-man roster, but Winkler will remain in the organization as infield depth. The 26-year-old has gone 2-for-12 at the plate during a couple brief stints at the big-league level this season.
