The Marlins selected Winkler's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.
Miami designated Winkler for assignment last month, but he's back on the 40-man roster. He logged 12 plate appearances for the Marlins earlier this season and slashed .167/.167/.333 with one stolen base and a 0:4 BB:K.
