Tuivailala has agreed to a one-year, $800,000 deal with the Mariners, avoiding arbitration, freelance baseball writer Robert Murray reports.
This was the 27-year-old righty's first year as an arbitration-eligible player. He had a 2.35 ERA and 5.07 xFIP in 23 innings last year.
