Sewald was credited with his first hold in a win over the Twins on Friday, firing a perfect eighth inning.

Sewald made quick work of the Twins in a 13-pitch eighth inning that saw him impressively dispose of the potent trio of Byron Buxton, Carlos Correa and Jorge Polanco. The veteran right-hander put together a diverse resume in 2021 that included 11 saves and 16 holds, and he could have a similarly fluid high-leverage role this season.
