The Mariners reinstated Rodriguez (ankle) from the 10-day injured list Sunday.
The 23-year-old landed on the shelf in late July due to a right high-ankle sprain, but he ramped up his rehab work over the past few days and will rejoin the lineup for Sunday's series finale versus the Mets. Rodriguez is expected to serve as Seattle's designated hitter initially, and it's unclear when he'll return to the everyday role in center field.
