Indians closer John Axford surrendered the only run of Monday's 1-0 loss to the Twins in the 10th inning to take his third loss of the season.
Axford (0-3) surrendered a home run to Twins infielder Eduardo Escobar, which was just his fourth career home run in 345 at-bats. The Indians stopper also gave up an additional hit and a walk before being removed with two outs in the 10th inning. After doing a nice job in April, Axford has give up four earned runs in 1 1/3 innings over his last two outings, leaving him with a 4.85 ERA and 12:10 K:BB ratio in 13 innings.
