Indians manager Terry Francona said that Ramirez "is the third baseman" and that there are no plans for him to move to left field at the moment, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
The 24-year-old had a solid year in his first year of full-time duty, posting an .825 OPS thanks to 46 doubles and 11 home runs, leading some to want the youngster to move to left field until Michael Brantley (shoulder) is game-ready again. However, Francona quelled those thoughts, stating that the only other spot Ramirez might work at is shortstop just in case something were to happen to Francisco Lindor, but for the foreseeable future, it seems like Ramirez will be staying put at the hot corner.
