Blach was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With rosters expanding, the Giants recalled a trio of players from Triple-A, including Blach, who holds a 3.43 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 162.2 innings at Salt Lake this season. Blach figures to primarily work out of the bullpen for the Giants, but he could be an option to be used as a starter should the need arise.
