The Giants recalled Beck from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.
Though he made one start for the Giants in 2024, Beck has pitched exclusively in relief at the big-league level in 2025, logging a 5.68 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 19 innings over 10 appearances. Beck will provide the Giants with a fresh arm in the bullpen in the short term, and if goes unused Friday and Saturday, he could be a candidate to cover multiple innings or possibly make a spot start in Sunday's series finale versus the Mets. With Landen Roupp (elbow) going on the injured list Friday, the Giants now have two open spots in the rotation, as the team previously optioned Hayden Birdsong to Triple-A earlier in the week.
