Boyd has a flexor tendon strain and won't throw for four weeks, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
He will be re-evaluated after the shutdown. Boyd had surgery on his flexor tendon in September 2021, so this is a concerning diagnosis. He hasn't pitched at all this season and should be considered out indefinitely.
