Cueto (lat) won't be able to return until May 9 at the earliest, Mark W. Sanchez of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.
Cueto was originally expected to miss two starts when he landed on the injured list with a lat strain in mid-April. His new timeline means he'll miss at least four. He's expected to advance to live batting practice next week.
