Giants' Jay Jackson: Collects second win

Jackson (2-0) allowed a run on one hit and struck out one in one inning, but he earned the win Saturday over Houston.

The right-hander gave up a game-tying solo home run to Martin Maldonado in the sixth inning, but San Francisco retook the lead in its half of the frame. Jackson has given up a run in each of his last two appearances, but he'd pitched six consecutive scoreless innings prior to that. For the year, he has a 2.35 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB with two holds and a blown save in eight outings. He figures to remain in a low-leverage role with Jake McGee and Tyler Rogers locked in as the late-inning options for manager Gabe Kapler.
