Snell came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Mariners, giving up two runs over three no-hit innings. He walked six and struck out five.
The southpaw needed 74 pitches (42 strikes) to record only nine outs in his shortest outing since April 8. Snell hasn't walked more than three batters in a start since May 22 and he hadn't struck out fewer than eight since July 22, with Saturday's poor performance snapping a seven-game quality start streak in which he'd posted a 1.14 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 67:13 K:BB in 47.1 innings. Snell will look to shake this one off in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Marlins.
