Cobb said Wednesday that he's dealing with a Grade 1 groin strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Cobb was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday after exiting his start against the Mets, but he downplayed the severity of the injury Wednesday and said he's hopeful he'll be able to return after a minimal stay on the IL. The Giants haven't yet indicated who will take Cobb's place in the rotation, but the right-hander will be eligible to return as early as April 30.
