Mariners prospect Nick Franklin finished up his fourth year of pro ball last season and batted .278 with 11 homers, 55 RBI and 12 stolen bases between two stops in the minors. He also weighed in at 162 pounds at the end of the campaign but has made a concerted effort to add to his frame this offseason. The Seattle Times reports Franklin showed up to camp weighing in at 196 pounds. "Last year, during the season, I felt my body starting to collapse on me," Franklin said. "At the end of August, I weighed 162 pounds and I was hitting balls to the gap that probably should have been out and they ended up going off the wall. One of them bounced to the wall."
