Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Yamamoto (triceps) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
The Japanese right-hander lacks a clear timeline for his return from the triceps injury, but his return to mound work is an encouraging development regardless. Yamamoto won't be ready to be activated from the 60-day injured list when first eligible Aug. 15, but a return in late August or early September remains possible if he can continue to build up his throwing program with no setbacks.
