Fields was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
With Hyun-Jin Ryu being placed on the disabled list, the Dodgers needed another arm for their bullpen. Fields was excellent in his first stint in the majors -- one earned run and 12 strikeouts over seven innings of work -- and was only a roster casualty because he was one of the few Dodgers pitchers with options remaining.
