De Leon will return to the rotation at some point during next week's three-game series against the Yankees, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
De Leon will presumably take the rotation spot of Scott Kazmir, though the club has yet to make it official. Kazmir suffered an oblique or rib injury during a rehab outing late Wednesday night, and he had been tentatively scheduled to rejoin the rotation the following Tuesday. Now that it's looking like the lefty will be unavailable, De Leon seems like the primary fill-in option. The 24-year-old cashed in a quality start in his MLB debut, allowing three earned runs and striking out nine over six frames against the Padres.
