Stewart was officially recalled to start Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
The excellent control that Stewart displayed in the upper levels of the minors (3.1 percent K-rate at Triple-A) was not apparent in his first four appearances in the big leagues. His 11.3 percent walk rate across 17 MLB innings will need to be trimmed going forward if he wants to serve as a solid back-end starter for the Dodgers. In the short term, Wednesday's outing is likely just a spot start, as the Dodgers have quite a few more accomplished options at the ready.
