Arenado (thumb) will start at third base and bat fifth Friday against the Giants.
Arenado was left off the first version of Friday's lineup, but now seemingly unbothered by the thumb inflammation that caused him to sit out Thursday, he'll check back into the starting nine. The veteran third baseman has been in a bit of a slump recently, going 5-for-27 (.185) with eight strikeouts across his last seven games.
