Arenado is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup against the Padres on Wednesday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
Arenado will get a breather after going 2-for-7 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored over the first two games of the series against San Diego. Tim Tawa will draw the start at third base Wednesday and bat fifth.
