The Diamondbacks activated McCann (quadriceps) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
McCann has been out since May 19 with a strained right quad but has been cleared to return after playing three rehab games with Triple-A Reno. He will serve as the team's backup catcher behind starter Gabriel Moreno.
