Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Breaks scoreless tie with RBI double

Owings went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Tuesday's 3-0 win in Pittsburgh.

Owings turned on a 2-1 fastball from Ivan Nova, delivering a two-out RBI double in the sixth inning. The run broke a scoreless tie and provided all the support Arizona starter Robbie Ray would need. Owings is putting together a strong month of May, hitting .322 for the month. Despite continuing to hit for average, Owings isn't running like he did in April. After going 7-for-8 in stolen bases in the season's first month, he's just 2-for-3 in May. His run production has also dipped. His home run, runs and RBI totals this month are all down.
